With Multi-site feature of OM you can create an enterprise telephone network, in which Multi-site is used to connect the OM with one or multiple other SIP servers such as Asterisk and make intercom calls. This guide describes the mechanism and the settings on OM.

Scenario

The mechanism

Multi-site is used to connect the OM with the SIP servers on other sites. When a user on the OM dials the extension numbers of another site, the OM will recognize it and route the call to the other SIP Server, SIP server should support handling incoming calls without registration.
In order for the SIP servers to recognize the destination of the extension, it is recommended to use separate extension number sets for each SIP servers.

OM setting

1. On Multi-site page, choose unifiedly assigned as multi-site mode and save.

2. On Multi-site page, click add button and fill in the site information as below (Both OM and SIP server should be added).

Device address: OM and SIP server's IP address.
Extension prefix/Digits: The prefix of extensions on the OM and SIP server, for example, "3xxx/4" means extension number is 4 digits and starting with 3.

Dialing plan

OM call SIP server: Pick up phone and dial SIP server's extension 4xxx directly.
SIP server call OM: Pick up phone and dial OM's extension3xxx directly or prefix and 3xxx according to SIP server's configuration.
