New Rock’s OM Series IP-PBX supports IP extension registration on any IP voice terminal such as softphone and SIP phone. In this application note, a Yealink IP Phone is used to register to the OM IP-PBX through the network. Also, some popular applications and their related configurations are described:

Registering Yealink IP Phone to the OM IP-PBX
1. Login OM web GUI. On Extension > IP page, get the following IP extension information: extension number, password.
2. Login Yealink IP phone web GUI. On Account > Register page, fill in OM’s IP extension information on the User Name, Password fields respectively and fill in OM’s IP address on the Server Host field and then click Confirm.
Configuring Call Forward on Yealink’s IP Phone
1. On Yealink IP phone screen,press Menu.
2. On Main Menu, use the navigation key to select Features and press Enter.
3. On Features, use the navigation key to select Call Forward and press Enter.
4. On Call Forward, choose any of the options: Always Forward, Busy Forward, and No Answer and then press Enter.
5. On Always Forward, press Switch to select Enable and use the navigation key to enter the phone number to which incoming calls will be forwarded.
6. Press Save.
7. Once the call forward function is enabled, an icon will be displayed in the upper right corner of the display screen.
Enabling Call Hold Feature on Yealink’s IP Phone
1. Login Yealink IP phone web GUI. On Features > General Information page, select the RFC 2543 Hold field and then click Confirm.
2. Press Answer on Yealink IP phone screen to answer the incoming call.
3. Press the Hold key to put an active call on hold.
4. Press the Resume key to retrieve the call.
